For those of you who attended State Session you should have your new project lists and patterns. If anyone needs copies please contact me. Everyone should be working on their projects and each Grange should be busy with planning their contest dates. COMMUNITY SERVICE By Laura Wike For our March meeting we will be collecting items for the Keystone Soldiers. If anyone needs a list of items, please contact me. Also money is needed to help with shipping the boxes to the soldiers. Relay for Life applications are available—please see me. We will be selling 2 year planners for $5.00 each. They will be available at the March Pomona meeting. Also for Relay for Life team members, if our dart game is as popular as last year, I will need at least 4 people to help with collecting money, replacing balloons, and to help blow up balloons. If any Grange members have any slightly used stuffed animals which they would like to donate, we could use them as prizes. They were a big hit last year. Thank You in advance for your help and support. |

BERKS HEIM By Irene Blatt On Saturday, December 16 we had another successful Christmas party at Berks Heim. Thank you to the Family Activities committee for sponsoring this party each year. Another big thank you to the Christmas Elves (Winnie Faust, Barbara Kauffman, Irene Kauffman, Ruth McQuate and Marie Switzer) who came to my house and made the gingerbread boy favors for the residents. We had more Grangers present then during past years and lots of delicious cookies. Thank you, Grangers! The entertainment by the Kensingers of Schuylkill Haven was outstanding and brought lots of laughs to the residents, the staff, and the Grangers in attendance. Our Sunday afternoon project at the Heim is going well. A big thank you again to all the volunteers who give of their time to help transport the residents to and from the church service. Your help is greatly appreciated. |
